Fresh Produce Engine

Fresh Fruits & Vegetables

Uses the NutriWrap Fresh Produce Engine — accounts for respiration rates, ethylene sensitivity, ripening, and modified atmosphere packaging to extend shelf life.

  • Respiration & ripening analysis
  • Ethylene sensitivity consideration
  • O₂ / CO₂ requirements
  • MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging)
  • Breathable & micro-perforated packaging
  • Temperature & chilling injury analysis
  • Humidity management
  • Fresh-produce shelf-life prediction

General Food Engine

Other Food Commodities

Uses the General Food Commodities Engine — evaluates moisture, oxygen, light sensitivity, pH, fat content, and barrier requirements.

  • Moisture & humidity analysis
  • pH & acidity evaluation
  • Fat / oil oxidation analysis
  • Microbial stability assessment
  • Light & oxygen barrier requirements
  • Mechanical protection for fragile products
  • Sealability & hermetic requirements
  • Aroma retention (coffee, spices)

Not sure which module?

Use Fresh Fruits & Vegetables for any product that is still alive after harvest — it respires, ripens, and produces ethylene. Use Other Food Commodities for any product that has been processed, cooked, dried, fermented, or otherwise transformed from its raw state.
